Chuan, Hong, Nian, Pei, and Tie need our help...

Dear Friends,

We want to wish you well in the coming year. We hope that 2010 brings you much joy and happiness. For us, 2010 will be a time to watch so many of “our” Journey of Hope children from China join their families—and what a thrill that will be. But as happy as we are for the children and families that have found one another, we are concerned about those who are left behind. We remain steadfast in our mission to find families for the rest. And so once again we appeal to you, the most ch… Continue

PLEASE LOOK! CHILDREN ARE ONLINE!!

I hope each of you will take a moment to look at these children. They are SO great. We think their personalities practically jump right off the computer screen. We are deeply grateful to Bonnie Elbaum, our incredible webmaster, for helping us get these children online...
You can go to the Alliance For Children website: www.allforchildren.org and click on the Journey of Hope or you can go directly to the page with the children on it: http://www.allforchildren.org/minisite-china/children.html

Progress on our 28 Families campaign!! We are SO happy...

August 9, 2009

I wish you could all hear Vivian, LinJing and I when we see each other. We can't get the words out fast enough..."Did you hear? We have a family for the Deaf boy's friend!" "A family called today about the girl in the blue dress!" "A family is considering the boy with the cleft lip and palate!" "Someone has asked about The Little Man!" "Another family said 'yes' today!" As of last week we had AT LEAST TEN children being considered. It is like music to our ears. And not only for w… Continue

About the Alliance For Children and Journey of Hope

Alliance For Children is actively looking for adoptive families for 28 children currently in Shanghai, China. There are 16 boys and 12 girls, all between the ages of 3 and 12, who are in need of permanent homes. Most of the children have some type of special need, ranging from quite mild, previously corrected, and correctable conditions (e.g. 3 of the children have no special needs, several of the children have already had surgery to correct a cardiac condition or a cleft lip and palate, 1 child has a deformed ear that does not affect his hearing, etc.) to more involved conditions (e.g. 6 of the children are deaf, a few of the children have tested positive for hepatitis B or C, etc.).

You can go to the Alliance For Children "Journey of Hope" page with photos and descriptions of the children still looking for adoptive families:
http://www.allforchildren.org/minisite-china/children.html

They are wonderful children with many talents, and they are hoping for a family who will adopt them. We have a great deal of information about each child, including a medical/developmental report, photos, and videos. If anyone is interested in finding out about the Journey of Hope program or any of the 28 children, please contact LinJing at: ljing@allforchildren.org or 781-444-7148.
